Bayfield, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- A Woodville, WI man was taken to the hospital following a snowmobile accident in the town of Drummond Friday morning.
According to authorities, the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office received a call shortly after one in the morning concerning a snowmobile accident and that someone was badly injured.
When crews arrived on the scene, they found a 36 year old Woodville man with head and chest injuries. He was transported to a hospital in Duluth to be treated. His condition is not available at this time.
Authorities say they believe alcohol and high speed were contributing factors in the crash.
The Great Divide Ambulance of Cable and Iron River Ambulance, Cable and Drummond Fire Departments, Wisconsin DNR and Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the accident.
This incident remains under investigation by the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office.
