Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) -The Salvation Army is getting a helping hand from Super One stores just in time for Christmas.

Donations made at the stores beginning Thursday, December 19th through Christmas Eve will be matched, up to $50,000 dollars.

The offer was announced Wednesday by Miner's, Incorporated, the owner of Super One Foods.

The Red Kettle campaign is the Salvation Army's biggest fundraising effort.

The organization helped 17,000 people in the Northland last year with basic needs of food, clothing and shelter.

To double the impact of your gift, you can make your donation at a Salvation Army Red Kettle at a Super One Foods store in Duluth, Superior, Virginia, Hibbing, Cloquet, or Two Harbors.

Kettle donations are received from 10AM-8PM Monday through Saturday, and on Christmas Eve until 4:00PM.
