Superior, Wisconsin 9/12/12
The Superior Police Department is investigating the circumstances of an accident at Marina Drive and the entrance to Barker’s Island. At 8:39 PM Wednesday, witnesses reported a motorcyclist drove between the barricades positioned at the location of the road washout that was caused by the flood waters of June 20th. The motorcyclist dropped into the washout area and was non-responsive in shallow water when emergency workers arrived at the scene. He was transported to a Duluth Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance. Further information will be released in the AM as it becomes available.
