Superior Police Respond to Reports of Shots Fired

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Superior Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of North 24th and John Avenue around 5 PM Thursday.

According to authorities one occupant came outside and told police they heard several gunshots, and a smoke alarm go off.

Shortly after, a white male exited the home and claimed to killed two people inside the residence. Police located one unharmed child. No other persons were found in the house.

Police say there is no evidence to indicate anybody was harmed inside the home.

A report says a firearm was discharged inside the house.

The person who claimed to have shot two people is undergoing for a mental health evaluation.

The incident is still under investigation.
