Washington, D.C. (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Representative Chip Cravaack testified in the House Armed Services Committee Tuesday, in support of the 24-hour alert mission of Duluth's 148th Fighter Wing in relation to the Department of Defense seqestration efforts.
Rep. Cravaack supported the Secretary of Defense to withhold the nation's existing 18 Aerospace Control Alert sites, pending the submission of the cost-benefit analysis and risk-based assesment of future changes report from the Secretary of Defense.
The report would also provide how future Aerspace Control Alert site changes would affect the Department of Defense budget and force structure.
