Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- A group of six men embarking on a trip around the world to raise awareness for chronic kidney disease, organ donation and transplants is making their way through the Northland.

The "World Riderz" journey is part of a two season documentary with the discovery channel.

The group is made of two motorcycle riders, and three other production crew members who follow in a van.

The first season took the men on a journey from Sydney to Paris.
Now in their second season, they are traveling around the Great Lakes on their trip around North America.

"In 95 percent of the cases, you can prevent it, with the right information, with the right lifestyle. It's not an easier thing to do to switch from one lifestyle to a better one, but you can talk about it and share ideas," said Setphane Etienne.

The documentary will begin airing across 40 countries during the first quarter of 2013.

You can help the world riders spread awareness of kidney disease, by becoming a virtual "third rider" online on their website.
