Mercer, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- A solicitation of a prostitute charge could be dropped against a Wisconsin man involved in an alleged sex trafficking bust.

In October 2013 Dennis Braun, a 67–year–old Mercer, WI, man, was charged in Iron County court with a felony count of soliciting a child for prostitution; however, that charge has been dismissed and replaced with a charge of soliciting a prostitute.

If Braun stays out of trouble for about seven more months (until Jan. 13, 2015), the charge of soliciting a prostitute will be dismissed; this is because the courts entered into a deferred judgment at his trial at the beginning of this year.

According to the criminal complaint, Braun responded to an escort service advertisement on Backpage.com in September 2013, agreeing to pay $300 in travel expenses for a 14–year–old Milwaukee girl to come to his home and another thousand dollars for the girl to stay with him overnight.

The complaint says the man engaged in kissing the girl and providing wine.
