Superior Fire Department Gives Breast Cancer the Axe

Superior, WI (Northland’s NewsCenter) --- In the fight against breast cancer, The Superior Fire Department is ramping up their efforts this month.

The department is partnering with the Superior chapter of the Young Survivor Coalition to "Give Cancer the Axe."

This month, firefighters will wear and sell pink logo shirts to support women in their fight against breast cancer.

All the money raised will be donated to the local YSC.

"YSC is an organization that provides certain services and kits and helps pay for certain tests for women that are diagnosed with cancer under the age of 40," Superior Fire Captain Lindzi Campbell said.

Pink Give Cancer the Axe shirts will be sold at the Superior Fire Departments, Thirsty Pagan, Sears in the Mariner Mall and Grizzly's on Tower Ave.
