Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Superior Police are looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at the ICO gas station in Billings Park.

Authorities were called to the ICO along North 21st Street on Tuesday around 3pm on the report of a robbery.

According to the store clerk, he was visiting with a customer when a younger man entered the store and began “lingering” around the aisles. After the customer left, the suspect approached the counter and placed a snack item on the counter, handed the clerk a dollar and waited for change.

As the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect allegedly produced a knife and demanded all the money in the register. The suspect then allegedly reached over the counter and took the money out of the closest compartment of the drawer. Authorities say the suspect fled with a small amount of cash.

The suspect is described as being in his late teens to early 20’s, 5’7” tall, with a small build and slight scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a knit hat, a dark colored “puffy” jacket , and tattered blue jeans.

Anyone with any information related to this incident or that was in that area around this time is asked to contact the Superior Police Department.
