SUPERIOR, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) - The Superior High School Assistant Principal took the longest dive of his life Thursday from a plane to the ground at the start of a JV football game.

The assistant principal jumped in tandem with U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Aaron Figel of the Golden Knights.

The jump was part of a fundraiser to help end hunger benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank.

Before landing, paper plates were scattered at the landing site and whichever plate the two men landed on would win a prize.

"The experience is completely in his hands and knowing that I can trust him 100 percent with my life literally, it was a blast. You're falling and you're falling and you're falling, and then all of a sudden you get pulled up, and then you're flying, and that's the best part," said Asst. Principal Bill Punyko.

The Golden Knights will be performing at the Duluth Air Show this weekend in their continuing effort to bring the Army's presence to the general public.
