Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- A Superior man, who has already been convicted of serious child sex offense, has been charged again with multiple counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.
Richard Ellery Morisett, Jr. appeared in Douglas County on Tuesday on multiple counts of Sexual Assault of a Child, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Incest, Possession of Child Pornography, and Registered Sex Offender Intentionally Photographing a Minor without Consent.
Morisett has been previously convicted of serious child sex offenses in January of 1996 and November of 1998. Several of the charges include the persistent repeater provision due to Morisett's previous convictions.
With the persistent repeater provision, the charges of Sexual Assault of a Child, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, and Incest could allow for each of the charges to carry a lifetime imprisonment without the possibility of parole or extended supervision.
The charges are the result of a joint investigation with the Duluth Police Department on an original complaint of sexual assault of a child.
Authorities are continuing to look into this case.
Morisett is currently being held at the Douglas County Jail. Cash bond was set at $100,000 with additional provisions of not having contact with any of the victims, any minors under the age of 18, and no Internet use.
