At a Boy Scout Court of Honor, there's a lot of pomp.
The circumstance for this pomp is a triple Eagle Scout ceremony.

"Triple eagles are basically a rare thing in scouting. The gentlemen worked really hard and they all decided they wanted to do a triple ceremony together." said Troop 342 Scoutmaster Mike Weaver.

The young men getting honors are Jonathon Gilbertson, Niccolo Pufall and Nathan Weaver.
All three are high school students in Ashland.
The Eagle Award was developed in 1911 and Nathan has wanted one since childhood.

"It looked awesome. I wanted to be that scout that stood in front of me with that Eagle patch. It looked great!" said Weaver.

There are over twenty steps in earning an Eagle.
A scout's eagle service project is perhaps the hardest part.
Weaver made a video promoting Ashland High School's green energy initiative.
Pufall renovated Barksdale Ice Rink.
Gilbertson cleaned up the North Country Trail, an area where motorized equipment is not allowed.

"All the trees we cut out we used a cross cut saw and a hand saw. The brush was cut with little clippers and we had to haul it back by ourselves." said Gilbertson.

People paying tribute to the young men included Representative Janet Bewley and Senator Bob Jauch.
The Eagle process taught the scouts about leadership, service to others and belief in self.

"I'm actually a person who can do what I feel like when I feel like and there's no limits to me. With that kind of attitude, there's nothing you can't do." said Niccolo Pufall.

Jonathon and Niccolo hope their Eagle Award helps get them appointments to a military academy after graduation.
Nathan still has a few more years of high school and is still thinking about his post secondary options.
