Three Sent to Hospital After Two Car Accident

Evergreen Township, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Three people were sent to the hospital after a head-on, two car accident on Highway 70 near Evergreen Township in Wisconsin on Sunday, February 19th.

Washburn County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with the Spooner Fire Department and Spooner North Ambulance responded to the accident. When officials arrived, they found two victims trapped under two separate vehicles. Emergency Personnel were able to extricate both victims from under their cars.

Robert A. Hester (85), his wife Diane K. Hester (76) and Iona J. Plath (83) were all taken to the Spooner Hospital Emergency Room. No word yet on any of their conditions.

Witnesses say that they saw the Hester's driving eastbound on Highway 70 when their car drifted into the center line and into oncoming traffic, colliding with Plath's 2008 Chevrolet Impala.
