Sawyer County, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Authorities in Sawyer County, Wis. arrested three sex offenders and issued a warrant for two others for allegedly violating their Halloween restrictions last week.

Several law enforcement agencies in Sawyer County along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections checked the homes of 18 registered sex offenders to make sure they were adhering to their Halloween restrictions.

Authorities say five offenders were found to have Halloween decorations, candy or other indications that they were participating in trick-or-treating activities.

Three offenders were arrested on the spot, while warrants were issued for two others.

The Sawyer County Sheriff's Department along with the LCO Police Department, Hayward Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections all assisted in the checks.
