Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - The non–profit soup kitchen and shelter is collecting Thanksgiving baskets for 150 families in need this holiday season.

The mission is to provide a turkey, dressing, and all the thanksgiving dinner amenities to parents and children facing financial difficulties.

It's a major undertaking, say officials, that couldn't be done without community donations.

"Without the community, and [without] outsiders helping us with our skeleton crew of 12... we would not probably be able to pull it off," said Kerri Hauser, of the Union Gospel Mission.

All donations can be brought to the Union Gospel Mission's First Street location.

If you are unable to deliver your donations, you can always call the Mission, and ask about their pick–up services.
