Hayward, WI (NNCNOW.com) - A group supporting the president's national agenda gathered in Hayward Wednesday hoping to start a conversation about wealth disparity with House Speaker John Boehner.

The highest ranking Republican in the House attended the cocktail reception at a lake-side home in support of Representative Sean Duffy.

The Wisconsin Chapter lead of Organizing for Action, Jessica Levandowski, said Americans should not have to choose between paying for food and medicine.

Efforts to talk with House Speaker Boehner were unsuccessful.

According to Wisconsin Politics Dot Com Duffy supporters paid $250 to $2,600 to attend.

A photo opportunity was also available for a $1,000 donation to Duffy's campaign.
