Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) - Kreitlow will be facing off against Wisconsin's seventh district incumbent, Sean Duffy, who took office after Democrat Dave Obey retired in 2011.
Kreitlow's platform includes supporting Medicare efforts and Social Security-- plans, he said, Rep. Duffy has voted to end.
The Duffy campaign disagrees with Kreitlow's statement, pointing to various fact checking websites, including Politifact
According to Kreitlow, Medicare is essential for covering seniors' health care needs.
"We deserve better—the President deserves better—than a congress that wants to change Medicare as we know it, and give people a voucher that doesn't buy them nearly enough health care over time as what seniors require," said Kreitlow.
Congressman Duffy says his focus is on working hard in Washington for his constituents.
