Wisconsin adds jobs in August

Madison, WI (NNCNOW.com) - The state of Wisconsin saw a growth in jobs in August.

Preliminary numbers released Thursday by the Department of Workforce Development show the unemployment rate fell from 6.8 percent to 6.7 percent, below the national unemployment rate of 7.3 percent.

The private sector grew by 7,300 jobs from July to August.

Jobs include construction, food services and retail trade.
