Woman on Run: Suspected of Burglary in Pierce County
(NNCNOW.com) --- Authorities are asking for your help locating a woman suspected in a burglary in Pierce County. Washburn County Authorities say Lindsey Elizabeth Porter, a 35-year-old woman from Hudson is suspected of stealing a truck and other items in the town of Springbrook, Wisconsin. Porter remains at large and is described as 5’6” tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with black hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans and a black shirt underneath a black jacket. Authorities say Porter is not considered a physical danger to the public; but is known for a history of property crimes as well as drug offenses. Officials have detained Porter’s suspected accomplice, a 38-year-old man from River Falls, who attempted to flee even after being tased by authorities. The two are facing multiple felony charges for numerous alleged property crimes, as well as charges for resisting arrest. Around 8 a.m. Monday, August, 19, the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a suspicious vehicle stalled in the driveway of a home in the town of Springbrook. When a Sheriff’s Deputy arrived on scene, Porter and her accomplice gave conflicting statements. The deputy attempted to detain the male suspect, but he resisted arrest. He was then tased by the deputy but was still able to run into a wooded area located along Namekagon River adjacent to Hwy. 63 North. He was apprehended with help from several enforcement agencies, including K-9 units. Upon investigation, The Sheriff’s Deputy learned that the disabled vehicle was stolen during a home burglary in Pierce County. Several items from numerous burglaries were also hidden in the woods near the vehicle.
