A Dozen Anglers Rescued on Lake Mille Lacs

Aitkin Co., MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Emergency crews rescued a dozen stranded anglers on Lake Mille Lacs in Aitkin County Wednesday Night.

Reports of the anglers floating on a piece of ice on the lake came in at about 6 p.m. to the Aitkin County Sheriff's Office.

Aitkin County authorities told the Northland's NewsCenter Wednesday night there were no injuries and all of the people involved are safe.

No word on what cause the ice to break off.

A number of agencies responded to the incident.
