The Minnesota Department of Health has removed the advisory on the Leif Erikson Park Beach in Duluth; fecal indicator bacteria levels and averages have returned to acceptable levels.
The two other beach advisories, the Agate Bay Beach in Two Harbors, and the 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach, located on the harbor side of Park Point in Duluth, remain in place.
The advisories were issued on Tuesday due to elevated E. coli bacteria levels and the possible presence of fecal contamination.
The beaches are scheduled to be re-sampled on August 15.
