(NNCNOW.com) - An Eden Prairie angler may have landed a record-breaking catch in the borderland.

According to the Star Tribune, Andy Fronek reeled in a monster 5' 11", 29-inch girth Sturgeon last weekend on the Rainy River.

The avid fisherman spent 35 minutes reeling in the catch.

The big fish could be one for the record books.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, the record for the largest Sturgeon caught in Minnesota waters sits at 94 pounds and measuring 70 inches long with a 26.5-inch girth set back in 1994.

No word yet on the final weight of the Sturgeon.

Fronek quickly released the fish after snapping some pictures.
