Beach Advisory for One Duluth Beach

September 4, 2013 Updated Sep 4, 2013 at 1:22 PM CDT

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A Duluth beach has been placed under a beach advisory due to elevated levels of E. coli bacteria.

A No Water Contact Recommendation has been issued for the 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach located on the harbor-side of Park Point, at 20th Street.

The elevated E. coli bacteria levels may be due to the possible presence of fecal contamination.

The water at the Duluth beach will be tested again later today.

If you become sick after coming into contact with the water at either beach, you are asked to call the Minnesota Health Department.
