Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.coM) --- The Minnesota Department of Health has lifted a water advisory for Lakewalk Beach in Duluth.
The department had originally advised beachgoers to stay out of the water at Lakewalk Beach located below Lake Place Park in Canal Park due to elevated E. coli bacteria levels
The elevated E. coli levels were thought to be because of fecal contamination in the waters along the beach.
The advisory has been lifted after fecal indicator bacteria levels and averages returned to acceptable levels.
However, if you become sick after coming into contact with the water at this beach, you are asked to call the Minnesota Health Department.
