Earlier this year fans of Lily the black bear turned out in droves to vote Head State Park as "America's Favorite State Park" and receive 100 thousand dollars.

Now the fans are at it again.
A Lily fan from Florida alerted the North American bear center of an online education contest by the website Care-2.
A winning school could receive 20 thousand dollars.
Doing what they do best... the fans raced to vote Lily's home area into the lead, putting Ely in a comfortable lead for first place with more than 14 hundred votes.
Principal of Ely high school Kim Belcastro says some of the teaching materials could be greatly improved with 20 thousand dollars.

"A big area of need is improving our technology, so we would use this is in the area of science and technology, we would also be, in conjunction with the bear center, wanting to provide more of an awareness for the bear education also."

Madeline English School in Massachusetts is in second place with almost 3 hundred and 50 votes.
The contest runs until November 12.
