International Falls, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Officials at the Voyageurs National Park are cautioning visitors of rock blasting as crews resume work on constructing the new Rainy Lake Visitor Center bike trail.
Visitors should expect occasional traffic delays getting into the park entrance to the visitor center because of the rock blasting. Rock blasting is scheduled for the next two weeks as crews pave the new bike trail from the visitor's center, through the forest.
Visitors will be required to turn off cell phones and 2-way radios during blasting operations.
Once the bike trail is opened, it will offer visitors the opportunity to meander around numerous scenic rock outcrops. The trail will also link the visitor's center with the cities of Rainer and International Falls.
