Lake Superior Beach Advisories Remain in Place

The Minnesota Department of Health has placed advisories and two Lake Superior beaches.

Water contact is not recommended for the Minnesota Point Harborside / 15th Street Beach due to elevated E. coli bacteria levels.

This advisory was put into place on August 21.

The beach is scheduled to be resampled on August 29.

The 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach has an advisory in place for the possible presence of fecal contamination.

The advisory was issued on August 21 and will resampled on August 29.
