Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Following an overwhelming response from Bob Dylan fans about chairs not being allowed at the concert at Bayfront Park, officials have now changed their mind.
Bob Dylan's normal concert tour requirements don't allow lawn chairs, but they will now be allowed at Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park for his show on July 9.
When tickets went on sale on June 7, buyers were told that only blankets or standing room would be allowed throughout the park for thie show.
Dan Russell, executive director of the DECC, which manages Bayfront Park, said that some potential buyers indicated that they would prefer a chair for the four hour concert. This lead to the change of plans.
Russell said he worked with the concert promoter, Jam Productions, and they agreed on the solution to allow chairs toward the back of the park.
Only regular, folding lawn chairs or similarly small chairs will be allowed. Larger chairs with footrests and umbrellas will not be allowed, to ensure that everyone has a clear view of the stage.
Coolers and outside refreshments are still not allowed in the park.
