MDH Adds Two Beach Advisories, Removes Beach House Advisory

The Minnesota Department of Health has added advisories for the Minnesota Point Harborside / 15th Street Beach and the 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach.

For the Minnesota Point Harborside Beach, elevated E. coli bacteria levels were indicated from samples collected on August 20.

The beach will be rescheduled on August 21.

For the 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach, elevated E. coli bacteria levels were identified on August 20, and will be re-sampled on August 21.

The 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach is located on the lakeside of Park Point in Duluth, at the end of Minnesota Avenue.

An advisory has been removed for the Beach House; fecal bacteria levels are back to normal levels.
