MDH Removes Advisories on Two Beaches, Adds One

The Minnesota Department of Health has removed advisories on the Minnesota Point Harborside / 15th Street Beach (formerly New Duluth Boat Club / 14th Street Beach) and the 42nd Avenue East Beach, but adds an advisory to the 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach.

For the Minnesota Point Harborside Beach and the 42nd Avenue East Beach, fecal indicator bacteria levels have returned to acceptable levels.

For the 20th Street Beach, samples collected on August 8 show elevtated E. coli bacteria levels.

The beach is scheduled to be re-sampled on August 9.
