More Sailing Opportunities Available for Tall Ships Festival

April 18, 2013 Updated Apr 18, 2013 at 11:17 AM CST

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- More tickets for day-sailing opportunities for the Tall Ships Festival will go on sale Saturday.

A new ship, the Schooner Halie and Matthew has been added to the festival and will allow more opportunities for tall ship fans to sail. Tall Ships Duluth is practically doubling its day sail capacity after temporarily selling out of tickets within one day.

The 118-foot Hailie and Matthew provides tall ship-goers an entirely unique experience as the breathtaking 100-passenger vessel takes you into America's maritime past without giving up comfort or amenities. The ship was designed by boat builders George Harris and John Bishop in 2005.

Visit Duluth says with the addition of this ship, there will now be nine tall ships at the Festival.

The 1,200 day sail tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m. to be used for the weekend of July 26, 27 and 28.
