Gardner's got an opportunity to learn more about the insects and diseases Wednesday with UW Extension Office's Gardner Dr. Brian Huddleston.
This class hosted by the UW Extension in Douglas County allowed participants to learn more about how they can protect their plants from fungi and other pests by learning from Dr. Huddleston.
"We have more people growing gardens for their home than ever before...What we are also seeing is a lot of these gardeners are new or tried and true gardeners are learning every year the diseases can foil the plans they make", said Jane Anklam with the UW Extension.
People at the class today were able to bring in samples and questions of what they have plaguing their gardens and learn ways to prevent it in the future. Also learn the secrets of having the perfect garden by placing certain species of plants to attract pollinators.
