Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- This Saturday will be the last for deer feed distribution.

The Minnesota Deer Hunters Association announced the decision Thursday after the recent warm temperatures.

For the last six weeks, nearly 1,000 volunteers have fed about 5,000 deer each week.

The MDHA bought 528 tons of feed, spending nearly $200,000 on shipping costs.

Volunteers are encouraged to put out all remaining feed to be completed by a week from Saturday.
