Swimming Not Advised for Four Park Point Beaches

The Minnesota Department of Health has put a beach advisory on the Minnesota Point Harborside / 15th Street Beach (formerly New Duluth Boat Club / 14th Street beach) for August 2.

Elevated E. coli bacteria levels have been identified from samples taken on August 1.

The beach, which is located on the harbor-side of Park Point in Duluth at 15th Street, will be re-sampled on August 2.

The 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach also has an advisory in place for the possible presence of fecal contamination.

The beach will be resampled on August 2.

The Beach is located on the harbor-side of Park Point, at 20th Street.

Swimming is not advised for the Sky Harbor Parking Lot Beach due to elevated E. coli bacteria levels in the water.

The beach will be resampled on August 2 and is located on the harbor-side of Park Point in Duluth, at the end of Minnesota Avenue.
