Two Northland Beaches Under Beach Advisory

August 27, 2013 Updated Aug 27, 2013 at 12:35 PM CDT

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Two Northland beaches have been placed under a beach advisory due to elevated levels of E. coli bacteria.

The following beaches have a No Water Contact Advisory:
- Burlington Bay Beach located in Two Harbors.

- Agate Bay Beach located in Two Harbors.

The elevated E. coli bacteria levels may be due to the possible presence of fecal contamination.

The waters at both beaches will be tested again later today.

If you become sick after coming into contact with the water at either beach, you are asked to call the Minnesota Health Department.
