Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) Despite a few glitches that caused us to delay the opening by one day, the “Timber Flyer” Zip Line is NOW OPEN at the Spirit Mountain Adventure Park!
At 10:00am there was already a line of eager guests waiting to take their first flights down the mountain.
A formal “Grand Opening” ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 9th.
Duluth Mayor Don Ness and Senator Roger Reinert will be in attendance to help dedicate this fantastic new attraction.
The “Timber Flyer” Zip Line joins the “Timber Twister” Alpine Coaster which opened in July 2010, two elements of the NEW Spirit Mountain Adventure Park.
Located on Spirit Mountain just a short drive from the Main Chalet on Skyline Blvd., the Spirit Mountain Adventure Park is anchored by a central parking lot and Ticket / Concession Building that service all the Adventure Park attractions.
The next recreation venues to be added are Mini Golf coming this fall, and Snow Tubing which will open in December.
