Coleman Kicks Off Re-election Campaign

By KBJR News 1

Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman kicked off his re-election campaign Wednesday in Duluth.

Coleman spoke to a packed room at the Radisson hotel and once again he's using his track record as St. Paul Mayor, and Minnesota Senator to convince people to vote for him.

"What a remarkable concept, that before serving in the United States Senate you may actually have done some things to show you can do the job, that's a radical concept, I don't think in Minnesota."

While there is no clear democratic nominee, Coleman couldn't resist slinging a little mud at candidate Al Franken.

"I'm running on my record because unlike my likely opponent I actually have one"

Senator Coleman's campaign stop in Duluth was part of a 15 city tour.
