Tripp To Run For Boyle's Seat On Assembly

By KBJR News 1

The Wisconsin State Assembly seat vacated by Frank Boyle has another candidate.

Superior resident Mary Tripp announced her intention to run for the open seat Wednesday.

"I'm pleased to announce my candidacy as a democrat for the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 73rd district. It is particularly meaningful for me to be making this announcement here at U-W Superior."

Tripp is a life-long resident of Superior, a full time faculty member at The Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and a part-time faculty member at UWS.

"I intend to work hard for the people of the 73rd district. I'm accustomed to working hard. For the last 22 years I've usually had a full-time as well as a part-time job. In each of these roles I've met and interacted with countless dedicated members of the community."

Superior City Councilor Nick Milroy has also announced his intention to run for the open seat.
