Man Accused of Stealing, Pawning Olympic Torch from 1996 Atlanta Games

According to the Asheville (N.C.) Citizen-Times, a 43-year-old North Carolina man was arrested last week for allegedly stealing a torch used in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and selling it to a pawn shop for $200.

The man faces charges of felony larceny and obtaining property by false pretense, according to the Citizen-Times story. The torch is valued at $15,000, according to the report.
