Here's something you don't hear about everyday. A customer getting a check FROM the power company.
According to the Hartford (Conn.) Courant, that's exactly what happened recently to a Connecticut woman. It turns out, according to the Hartford Courant, that the woman had been mistakenly paying for the electricity that powered a pair of street lights in her neighborhood for the last 25 years.
She received a check for $10,491, according to the Hartford Courant report.
