Online financial magazine Kiplinger has compiled a list of the "worst" values in college majors, just as co-eds are settling into their dorms.

Anthropology tops the list, with an unemployment rate of more than 10 percent for recent graduates.

The median salary for those who do get jobs in that field is $28,000.

Additionally, anthropology majors are also more than twice as likely as the national average to take a job in retail.

That's followed by majors in fine arts, film & photography, philosophy & religious studies, and graphic design.
