Dozens Told To Move Out Of Hibbing Apartment Complex

By KBJR News 1

More than a dozen residents of Hibbing's Arrowhead apartment complex were told to move out of that building on Wednesday after inspectors deemed it unsafe.

Chris Buckley reports from our Range Bureau.

Pat Green from Hibbing's building office says there was a leak in the building's roof and the water coming into the building's electrical room made it a fire hazard.

Residents were ordered to move out until the problem is fixed that left some of them scrambling to find a place to go.

"There's elderly people, people on social security and there's some pretty bad-off people, everyone feels like we're getting a bad deal, maybe we should have had a little more notice"

Lee paid to spend Wednesday night at a hotel fire marshal Jim Lammatteo says crews are on scene and the problem should be fixed in the next day or two.
