Now for a look at some stories making headlines on the Range:

Residents of Hibbing's Arrowhead apartment complex may be displaced for substantially longer than they originally thought.

The 13 residents were told the building was unsafe to live in because of a leaky roof and an electrical problem last Thursday.

Upon further inspection, the buildings owner says the building will have to be gutted and re-wired.

He'll be meeting with contractors and insurance adjustors later this week but says it could be several months until the building is in livable condition.

The 114th Transportation Company, a National Guard detachment out of Chisholm, celebrated their one-year anniversary over the weekend.

The Chisholm Armory has been home to several different units over the last century.

Now it's part of the "Wolfpack," headquartered out of Duluth...
The men and women of the unit changed their patches to signify the redesignation of their headquarters.

"this is a brand new unit for the army, we started from scratch with one soldier and no trucks, now we have 150 soldiers, 60 trucks, equipment maintenance and the like"

That unit is responsible for hauling ammunition and supplies, and re-supplying mobile combat units.

Potential nursing students got a firsthand look at the nursing options offered at Hibbing Community college on Monday.

There are several hundred students in the program, and with the current nursing shortage, program officials say it's a good way to let potential students know about the opportunities available right in their backyard.

"We have a program that allows people to move from the CNA program to Associate degree nursing."

That program is also being offered in International Falls and Grand Rapids.

Investigators from both the private and public sectors will be looking into the cause of a fire at Sammy's Pizza in Hibbing over the next few days.

Last month's fire left two employees who lived above the restaurant temporarily homeless and on Sunday employees from Sammy's held a benefit dinner for them at the Brickyard restaurant down the street.

Hundreds showed up to show their support.

"People from the Brickyard, people from Sammy's, family, friends, helpful people, this is great"

He says re-building efforts are underway at Sammy's... the hope is to get the doors back open in about three weeks.
