2 Children Taken Into Custody For Potential School Shooting Plot

Two 12 year old children were taken into custody and placed under the jurisdiction of juvenile court system... for alledgely planning of a potential school shooting.

The Itasca County Sheriff's Office received a report Sunday night from a concerned parent saying that she found information in her child's My Space account.

The information indicated two juveniles were planning a school shooting at the Grand Rapids Middle School.

The juveniles were taken into custody.

The Itasca County Sheriff indicated there was no immediate threat to the Grand Rapids Middle School or staff.

The Sheriff said information is limited due to the age of the suspects and data privacy laws.
