Jury Awards Hibbing Family $1.25 Million For Son's Death

A Saint Louis County jury awarded more than one-point two-five million dollars to a Hibbing family after their 21-month old son died in 2008 after being misdiagnosed twice.

Doctor Kevin Krause of the Mesaba Clinic was found negligent after he misdiagnosed Andrew Morrow first with influenza and then with gastroenteritis in a period of four days.

Andrew died of "gangrenous appendicitis" with a blood stream infection and shock.

According to the Morrow family's attorney, Terry Wade, it was determined that Krause having too many patients too close together, led to Andrew's misdiagnosis.

I feel for your family. Be strong and have faith. $1.00, $1.25 million or $125 million will not bring your little boy back. But it is an eye opener for ins and med facilities.
