Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- It's a big fundraising weekend for the animals at the Lake Superior Zoo.

Creative and artistic minds are joining together to help the zoo recover from it's losses after the June floods.

Painters, sculptors, singers and performers took part in the Artists on the Loose event this morning at across the street from the zoo.

Artists put their time and art work on display for people to buy.

All proceeds from the art fair are donated to help the animals and zoo recover.

"We were just going to do a little silent auction or something like that and it's turned into this. It's getting a little better and better and more tables and more tables because the art just keeps showing up," Jamie Rabold, the event organizer, said.

Any items that do not sell at the art fair will also be donated to the zoo.
