Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Mobile Apps are all the rage these days and this Thursday (3/31) tech enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on the latest and greatest in the world of Android phones.

The first ever Android-themed Bar Camp will give experts and newbies the chance to share and learn in an open environment.

The free, day-long, workshop will look at mobile apps currently in production and allow users to test out new mobile phones.

Organizer Ben Damman says the most exciting part of the event will be the featured speakers, Bill Gate's favorite teacher and Sherry Lassiter of MIT Fab Labs.

"I think they are going to walk away really inspired," said Damman. "We talk about technology and how cool it is, but when you meet people who are building things with technology or who are working with bill gates on projects who can impact people in education and other areas. I think people will walk away with a deep appreciation for what technology really means."

You can geek out at the Barcamp Thursday (3/31) starting at 10 a.m. at the DECC. You can register online by visiting Android Barcamp Registration
