Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- A water pipe broke in Duluth Sunday afternoon and rushing water caused damage to roads and some private infrastructure.
The water line broke on North Arlington Avenue between north Ideal Street and Olive street around 3 p.m.
Duluth Public Works crews responded to the scene and were able to shut the water off within about an hour.
Streets, driveways and some yards in the area were flooded with water pools as high as 1 or 2 inches.
In one spot, the gushing water wiped away an asphalt driveway.
