(NNCNOW.com) --- Lack of housing is one of the biggest barriers in the ongoing effort to stop the sex trafficking of children and young adults in Minnesota.
There are no shelters or housing services dedicated to the specific needs of the sexually exploited or those at risk for exploitation.
But that could change.
A Minnesota Department of Public Safety taskforce report is recommending a network be created to provide housing and supportive services.
The study also recommends state lawmakers allocate some $10 M to finance the network.
