Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Skaters of all ages are showing off their moves this weekend at the 33rd annual Northland Figure Skating Competition.

This year is the largest the competition has ever been with 600 registered skaters and 16 figure skating teams coming to Duluth to compete.

The competition is put on by the Duluth Figure Skating Club, which has been around for 90 years.

The event is free to spectators and is all volunteer run.

"Parents of the club all volunteer their time to put into different areas of the competition and our judges and officials come in as volunteers too," said Heidi Voss, co-chair of the Duluth Figure Skating Club.

The competition kicked off late Thursday afternoon and runs through Sunday.
